Kick It.

There are just not many things cuter than a soccer team full of Kindergartners.

Especially when one of the players is my handsome little boy.

I've loved watching these great kids play soccer together over the last two months.  They've had an excellent season! It's amazing to see how quickly the players grow and improve in their skills and understanding of the game.  My Luke has loved playing soccer this Spring and he's more than a little bit sad that the season is one game away from being over.  It's been a ball {pun intended}.

Go Cougars!

Beautiful Ballerinas.

I was called last minute to fill in for my friend Shanna, and {fabulous} fellow photographer, yesterday to take dance pictures for some beautiful little ballerinas.

How sweet are these little girls?

While trying to get 3 of the girls to look at me {and smile} all at the same time, I tried encouraging a little role play and asked, "who is your favorite princess?"

The first response? ME! Answered with excitement and confidence from one darling little girl. And yes, she was indeed a princess. They all were!

Do you live in or near Saratoga Springs? Are you looking for an amazing ballet class for your daughter? My beautiful and sweet neighbor is a local ballet teacher who is sure to impress.  Check out the fabulous Kerri Deshler here. You won't be disappointed!

{Heiner} Family Session.

When I think of my childhood, I can't help but think of the Heiners.

The Heiner family lived just down the street from us and our families were the best of friends. The Pickles and the Heiners. We did everything together! I have many fond memories of afternoons spent in their pool, basketball games played, walks up and down our street (often accompanied by grasshoppers), bike rides around the block, nights spent out on the volleyball court, countless boating trips together, playing cards on the beach...you name it, I have a childhood memory of doing it with the Heiners.

We had crazy fun.

Yesterday I had the privilege of photographing one of the Heiner boys and his beautiful family. It was so awesome! Ryan is all grown up, but he's still the same. Just an adult version of his kid self. Seeing him surrounded by his family, his girls, made my heart so happy. And brought back a flood of wonderful childhood memories.  Thanks, Beck and Ry, for letting me take pictures of your adorable family. It was one of the funnest shoots I've had in a long time!

sweet baby Jack.

This handsome, perfect little boy is my dear cousin's new baby.

He had an early entrance in to the world and was born last week, 9 weeks early, at a mere 3 lbs. He is so small it's hard to comprehend...and just as cute as they come. Not to mention strong. It made my whole day to sit for a few minutes this afternoon and hold this tiny little boy.

Welcome to the world, Baby Jack! We're so glad you are here.

*Since posting these pictures, super Jack is drinking a bottle on his own and has been moved out of his Isolette in to a crib. He is one strong, special little boy!
